A Brother
On perhaps the most difficult day of my life so far, my brother-in-law—and one of my best friends—was called and selected for jury duty in a federal case here in town. Were it not for his presence last night I don't know if I would have made good decisions taken care of myself. I feel deep within my heart that God knew the moment of my greatest weakness and I see evidence of His love in sending my brother to comfort, protect, and counsel me. At this time of feeling so very alone, I see "signs enough" to endure another day.

What an amazing blessing for you, but also for me and my kids. Thank you for seeing this tender mercy and sharing it.
ReplyDeleteI saw a bright red Cardinal today...and it was beautiful! In the midst of what seems to be a very long winter, this small sign of spring time and spring color gladdened my heart and soul. Usually I wouldn't think of that as a tender mercy, but feeling that the winter has been long and cold, seeing that lovely bird called to remembrance Heavenly Father's love for me. He has given an astoundingly beautiful earth for us to live on, seasons, wildlife (both outdoor and in...(yes that means my children)), comets, stars, things innumerable! Thanks for starting this blog Darin, I believe that it will help me more readily recognize Father's hands in my life.
